The main goal of this new project titled “Don Bosco Professional Academy (DBPA) for skill training of marginalised youth in Hospet Taluk of Karnataka State, India” is to contribute to the reduction of poverty among the marginalized community by way of enhancing the skill of youth leading to increased educational status, improved economic conditions in 15 rural villages and 2 urban slums of HospetTaluk. The project is implemented by Don Bosco Hospet and skill trainings are expected to start by 2015.
Originally DBPA started 18 years back and trained thousands of youth in non formal skill domains. Now the building is dilapidated and the new project intends to re construct the old building and also start the courses according to industry demands and aspirations of the local youth

The building construction is progressing and expected to be completed by the end of 2014. The first batch is scheduled to start in the first half of 2015.
