BREADS is the development office of the Salesian Province of Bangalore. BREADS assists the projects in the states of Karnataka and Kerala for a better, systematic and scientific approach to development. We promote integral development through proper systems of promotion, monitoring and evaluation of the Socio-economic, cultural, technical and Development Projects in the region.
Mission: BREADS is a voluntary organization aiming at the transformation of the poor and the needy, as resources and agents of change through educative presence and accompaniment.

Don Bosco - Vaduthala History Don Bosco, Vaduthala is the first Don Bosco institution in the state of Kerala. It began in 1956 as a Youth Centre. From the start, the Youth Centre has an impact on the lives of the people of the neighbourhood. In 1966, a non-formal technical school was started. It received Government approval as a formal I.T.I. in 1971. In 1985 an English medium High School was added, which got recognition from the ICSE Board, Activities 1. Youth Centre This programme was started in this area for the spiritual, cultural, psychological and social development of the youth. The centre has a good library, reading room and opportunities to learn music, dancing, acting, sports and games. At present the Youth Centre has around 578 members. Training in musical instruments is provided to those who are interested. The library enables the people to develop their reading habits. 2. There are five trades offered in the technical school. Don Bosco Life Line Career guidance and job placement cell referred to as Don Bosco Life Line is for school and college students. Job seekers register themselves and they are contacted when suitable job opportunities arise.
