In Irinjalakuda, a High School, a Lower Primary School and a boarding was started in March 1962. It began with two mediums of instruction - English and Malayalam. The Government sanctioned the Don Bosco High School as an unaided and recognized school in 1962. The Malayalam-medium section was discontinued gradually. In 1987, a spacious indoor stadium was built.

1. Don Bosco Schools

a. KG, LP and UP School (Board – ICSE): There are 373 (220 boys and 153 girls) students and 24 staff in this school.

b. KG, LP, High School and Higher Secondary School (Board – State): There are 1969 (1431 boys and 538 girls) students and 59 staff in the school.   

2. DB Youth Center

There is a youth center with active participation from the neighbourhood. The center has a membership of 45 young people. The many programmes offered helps them to grow up into mature and useful citizens. The healthy ambient also allows for development of personality, leadership and character formation..

3. Neighborhood reach out

Through the group of  Salesian Cooperators numbering above 30, we reach out  to the poor homes, orphanages, old age homes, homes of retarded and handicapped regularly.  They also conduct social activities by mobilizing external support for our needy students.

4. Past Pupils Association

There are 60 life members and more than 100 others in the Don Bosco Past Pupils Group at Irinjalakuda.

5. Sports and games

There is an indoor stadium and coaching in basket ball and table tennis. There is also a shuttle club which helps in physical fitness.
