BREADS is the development office of the Salesian Province of Bangalore. BREADS assists the projects in the states of Karnataka and Kerala for a better, systematic and scientific approach to development. We promote integral development through proper systems of promotion, monitoring and evaluation of the Socio-economic, cultural, technical and Development Projects in the region.
Mission: BREADS is a voluntary organization aiming at the transformation of the poor and the needy, as resources and agents of change through educative presence and accompaniment.
Vision: We envisage a community of justice peace and joy.

Don Bosco - KGF It was in 1992 that the Salesians of Don Bosco took up a parish in K.G.F. The Industrial Training Institute of the diocese was given over to the Salesians in 1993. As planned the new infrastructure for the Activities 1. Prevention of dropouts - Regular Family visits. - Meetings in different parts of the village. 2. Technical Training - Formal and Non-formal vocational training programmes. - The technical school provides training in trades such as Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Electronics, and Computers. - Self-employment schemes like the Don Bosco Tech. Annexe, Driving, Hollow Brick Making and Tailoring were introduced. - Boarding facility for students from distant villages. 3. Housing Scheme - The Housing scheme was given to the deserving in the Susaipalayam area with every beneficiary working for all the houses thus instilling cooperation. 4. Pastoral Activities- Parish monthly bulletin called Payanam (Journey). - Movement for a Better World Team animates the parish. 6. Other Activities - Sponsorship of children for education - Helping the young people to initiate self employment schemes. - Supporting voluntary organizations working in the parish like Bangalore Multi purpose Social Service Society - (BMSS), TREDA, Kolping Group, National Forum for Slum Improvement. - Youth Animation Address Don Bosco Technical Institute
